Upholding Hopes

.

and all of a sudden,
 i get numb.
Feeling a void deep inside my core.
I try to take longer breaths,
As i feel dyspneic,
Inside my buttoned up white coat.

Those misty eyes that hold onto me,
believing in miracles that my fingers carry.
I can't, but only compose a tale,
A fib just to help them smother the ache.

I just hold the place of an apprentice,
Aspiring one day ,to steal, from the Yama ,
some more of your heartbeats.
Trust me, those pricks i make on your skin,
Pain you less than the,
Pain i feel ,as you
hope for magic from your fellow being.
