The writer's curse

-Namrata Nath.

Writers are dangerous creatures
For they will draw pictures with words
And use them so well
That the silent garden of your mind
Will look like a mountain in spring
Screaming and laughing with life and lively
But it's just that they know the colours so well
That they paint a blank sky blue and grey
And forget that the mind is a mirror
And the beauty they paint gets embedded in others' souls
Pricking them with love
And feeling wanted
Sadly, the writer forgets
Of all the knives that kill men
Kindness is the worst
