Truth be told I saw it coming,
when you turned your face away.
Jealousy ruins a living craved from love,
I'll admit for honesty's sake.
As we reached our home, tired and worn
I had no fight left in me.
But soon you spoke venom spewing,
I began preparing my plea.
So you start again, shouts and screams;
One hit then miss, a sorry tale.
A price I pay for having my way,
Violence has become a world I brave.
Will I have some peace of mind,
When will I have the time of my life?
Will I be free from the chains that bind,
Or is my fate just to be someone's wife?
